I followed through on my posting from yesterday and told my wife that I was starting a private weblog that would be addressed to her. She had a puzzled look on her face, but she said she would read it. I told her that she was welcome to comment on the postings, but it was not a requirement.
I put up an introductory post this morning to give her background on how this weblog relates to my therapy work, namely that I need to be able to disclose my feelings and thoughts to her without any expectation of acceptance or reciprocity. This is going to be tough.
Later on that evening, she told me that she had gotten the results of her yearly exam at the OB/GYN on Friday, but had forgotten to tell me about them. Pap test showed nothing abnormal. Her OB/GYN ordered her to take a blood test to screen her testosterone and for thyroid issues. All levels were okay, so hormones are now officially crossed off the list of probable causes.
