There are books on the subject of cutting back to one salary, and there are lots of online sources of information about economizing. See for example:<BR/><BR/>http://frugalliving.about.com<BR/><BR/>http://www.frugal-moms.com<BR/><BR/>But if you anticipate splitting up within the next year, you might want to encourage your wife to find other part time employment or another source of income (in addition to economizing where possible), so that you can start building your savings.
